About Green Drinks Long Island last night…
We had another wonderful Green Drinks event at Argyles Grill in Babylon last night. We had a really nice turnout and we teamed up with Mike from www.greensender.com and www.zipgoesgreen.com and we gave out organic cotton t-shirts to everyone who came through. Blue Point Brewery was also there in support of our event with drink specials and extra bottle choices.
An extremely wonderful and eclectic crowd came through last night: real estate brokers, green janitorial supply, 2 organic home & office cleaning companies, an organic landscape company, a whole crew from www.lululemon.com , a restauranteur, a green architect, a gentleman from www.LIcares.org, Citizens Campaign for the environment, the list just goes on and on. Its truly amazing to see people come out and support our group for their love of the REAL Green, or Bright Green movement that is all about true green initiatives not green washing ones.
Also the author of this great article that ran in the Daily News last Sunday about Green Drinks was in attendance! For those of you interested there is also another good article from the NY times about Green Drinks here.
The media run kept coming because we had a reporter from Newsday there who did interviews, took photos and was very genuine about how impressed she was by the quality of professional people in attendance.
The media fest continued….. we also had in attendance Jed Morey, publisher of the LI Press and founder of the Green Living Expo along with my good friend Harlan Friedman who works with Morey group.
My favorite part of the evening were all the compliments to canvas that I received about the quality of our publication, the spectacular events we host, sponsor and create, and the high quality of the ‘canvas community’ that keeps growing and expanding. After all the long hours, blood, sweat and tears (and yes, I mean that literally! haha) I really and truly am very grateful for all the fine compliments that come our way. It really is an inspiration to keep going everyday and working to effect change for the good here on LI.
With that said, a huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the readers, attendees, advertisers, supporters, and friends of canvas, we couldnt do it with you.

Sounds like these events are really starting to take off. I hope to make one of them coming up soon.
Where is the next one going to be? Do you know when it will be?
